
Nonnewaug High School’s first robotics team, Team Beta, is hosting the second annual Tech Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 29, at Nonnewaug High School, 5 Minortown Rd., Woodbury.
The event is aimed at promoting science and technology and offers a variety of exciting exhibits appealing to people of all ages.
The event will include a wide variety of different exhibitors that will each display various presentations that cover everything from solar energy to laser light demonstrations.

This year, several new exhibits will be added to the roster, including a crash-simulator from the Connecticut State Police called the Convincer, which allows individuals over the age of 15 to safely experience a car crash at five miles per hour.
Returning exhibitors include the J.J. McCarthy Observatory and the Wilby Electrathon car, a car constructed by students at Wilby High School that runs entirely on electric power.
