The Annual Orton P. Camp Jr. History Program: Tour of Riverside Cemetery with Philip Benevento

Waterbury’s Riverside Cemetery is a lovely landscape of rolling hills and stately trees surrounding a spring-fed pond which reflects the graceful and majestic monuments of this classic 19^th century burial site which is on the National Register of Historic Places.  Join us as city historian Philip Benevento recalls the lives and legacies of those who are memorialized here.

Meet at the Mattatuck Museum. We will take a bus to the cemetery with some relevant stops along the way. Please be prepared to walk through the cemetery.
