WOODBURY, CT — Eversource's team of licensed arborists is trimming trees that threaten electric reliability across the state, including more than 100 miles of roadside overhead electric lines in Woodbury, according to a press release. The work is expected to cost $1.25 million.

“While we all love our trees, they can have a devastating effect on the electric system, especially during a storm,” Eversource Manager of Vegetation Management in Connecticut Alan Carey said in a statement. “We’re always working to serve our customers better and consistent tree trimming helps to improve day-to-day reliability during all types of weather. As a result, we continue to see fewer power outages where this work has been done.”

Tree work in Woodbury is underway and being done by Lewis Tree Service. Work is expected to be complete by early June.
