Flanders Spring Edible Workshop with The 3 Foragers

Spring Workshop on May 17

The 3 Foragers are a family from southeastern Connecticut who has been foraging wild foods and fungi, and blogging about their adventures, for over seven years. Back by popular demand on Sunday, May 17th they will be returning to Flanders in search of fresh spring greens! They will lead the way on a hunt of the Flanders trails and fields to identify and maybe even taste some of the wild edible plants that grow there that people are also likely to find in their own yard or on their outdoor travels.

The group will look for young shoots, flavorful twigs, edible flowers, succulent weeds, roots, and plants. They will learn where to forage, which native and invasive plants are safe to eat, and hear some suggestions on how to add wild food to your diet. Children are welcome.

The program starts at 1PM that day at the Flanders Sugar House which is located a quarter mile from the intersection of Flanders and Church Hill Roads in Woodbury.
