Rabbits and their habits!
Did you know that there are two different kinds of rabbits that live outdoors in New England? The Eastern Cottontail and the New England Cottontail look very much the same... both with long ears and a short fluffy, white tail that resembles a cotton ball.
However, the New England Cottontail population has had a serious decline and the US Fish and Wildlife Service designated it as a candidate for threatened or endangered status.
Our Story Time will have a domestic bunny visitor for hands on interactions with a furry friend and participants will learn some interesting facts about rabbits.
Registration is required - flanders@flandersnaturecenter.org or 203-263-3711 x 12.
Cost is free for member families and $5 for nonmember families.
