Kent Art Association, located at 21 South Main Street in Kent, is taking bids on Dennis Bialek's "Curbside Ice Cream Cone". Dennis worked in the brass industry specializing in the fabrication of architectural bronze. His work is on display in galleries in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The cone is covered with burnished stainless steel. Found objects have been incorporated into the power paint coated ice cream. Dennis' ice cream cone sculpture and his stone and steel birds will be o display through May 26. Bidding on the ice cream sculpture begins at $8,000.00. To place a bid call the gallery at 860-927-3989 or e-mail kent.art.assoc@snet.net. Please leave your name, number, and the amount of your bid.
