'Homes For Our Troops' Donation Jar Stolen from Middlebury Deli

The jar was likely stolen over the July 4th weekend.

Middlebury, CT - A donation jar that benefited Homes For Our Troops was recently stolen from the Le Bobadel Gourmet Market & Deli in Middlebury, and local organizers are hoping for its return.

The jar was part of the annual Newtown Beautiful Baby Contest, and the proceeds were earmarked for a specially adapted house being built in West Haven for Army Ranger Sean Pesce, 22, the first Connecticut soldier to receive a home from the veterans group since 2007.

The deli believes the jar was stolen over the July 4th weekend, and asks for its return with the money inside.
