Local Band to Perform at Gainfield Elementary Carnival

Changes Urban Instrumental to perform at GES carnival on June 17.

Editor’s Note - The following press release was submitted by Region 15.

Changes Urban Instrumental will perform at the Gainfield Elementary Carnival fundraiser in Southbury on Friday, June 17, from 5 – 8 p.m. The carnival will take place at Gainfield Elementary School, rain or shine, from 4 – 8 p.m. and is open to the public.

Changes offers a little something for everyone in their music.  They play covers and original songs, and their all-instrumental style draws on a variety of musical influences, such as jazz, funk, rock, and blues.

Playing lead and bass support is Alf Abraham, a music teacher for Guitars Plus in Woodbury.  Also playing lead and rhythm support is Skip Palarino of Oxford.  On drums and percussion is Ron Sledzieski of Southbury.

The carnival will feature food, games, and non-motorized rides including an obstacle course, laser tag, and bounce houses. There is no carnival admission fee. Games and admission to bounce houses are individually priced from $1 to $4 each.
