Mitchell Students Give Thanks For Veterans

Second grade students at Mitchell Elementary School celebrated Veteran's Day by making a Collage of Thanks for the veterans at Sgt. John L. Levitow Veteran's Health Center at the Connecticut State Veterans Home in Rocky Hill.

Students expressed gratitude to the veterans through poems, drawings and messages drawn at home on squares of paper as part of a family project. The squares were connected by teachers and parent volunteers to create a collage from each second grade classroom.
