MUSIC OF CELEBRATION - CT Choral Society Concert

Lights, music, action! Be prepared to experience something quite different from a "standard" concert presentation. The Connecticut Choral Society (CCS) will present MUSIC OF CELEBRATION, a contemporary multimedia concert with choral singers, soloists, dancers, instrumentalists, conga drummers and even an emcee. The concert will take place on Saturday, May 17th, 8:00 pm at Walnut Hill Community Church (156 Walnut Hill Road, Bethel).

Hear music that is both hip and elegant, ancient and modern. The program will feature What a Wonderful World, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Carly Simon’s Let the River Run, Bach’s Hunting Cantata, and Rutter’s Birthday Madrigals (a vocal jazz piece). A great event for the entire family!

The Connecticut Choral Society was recently named by WTIC (CBS CT) as one of the top five vocal ensembles in the state. CCS not only presents regional concerts, but also "makes music that makes a difference" by presenting benefit concerts on behalf of organizations that serve the needs of the community.
