Officials Look to Upgrade Technology at Region 15 Schools
The Digital Learning Subcommittee visited other school districts to learn of ways for the use of technology in schools.

The Digital Learning Subcommittee is recommending a plan to upgrade Region 15 schools’ wired and wireless capabilities as well as add and replace devices each year, the Republican-American reports.
According to the paper, during a presentation to the school board Assistant Superintendent of Schools Kelly Lyman said 37 percent of the school district’s devices were outdated. She added that the reasons for the outdated devices was due to the increased need for technology over the past five years as well as inconsistency in funding for technology.
The issues with devices and connectivity have cause interruptions in lessons forcing teachers to revise their lesson plans in the middle of the day, the paper reports.
