Pomperaug High School to Host Pre-Prom Mock Drunk Driving Demonstration

On Tuesday, May 26 (rain date Friday, May 29), Pomperaug High School students and faculty will be given a pre-prom mock drunk driving demonstration. Southbury Ambulance Association, Southbury Police Department, Southbury Volunteer Fireman’s Association, Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department and Carpino Funeral Home will all be involved.

The mock two-car motor vehicle accident will include students and teachers of PHS as victims, in order to demonstrate the consequences of drunk and distracted driving.

The event will begin at 9am, and run until approximately 45 minutes. It will take place on the Pomperaug High School softball foeld, 234 Judd Road in Southbury.
