Pomperaug Valley Garden Club Annual Plant Sale
The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club will sponsor its fifth annual Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday May 17th, in the pavilion at Hollow Park located on Hollow Road, Woodbury. The sale will feature locally grown, reasonably priced perennials, herbs, grasses, hostas, ferns, shrubs, native plants and  beautiful flowering baskets. Club members will be on hand to assist with purchases, while Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions and provide information on invasive plants.  A highlight of the event will be the White Elephant table featuring gently used and sometimes surprising garden-related items. Look for great gift ideas! This event is an important fundraiser for the Club. Proceeds benefit Woodbury and area residents in the form of Town beautification projects, the construction of swags and wreaths at holiday time for public buildings, a college scholarship, various outreach projects and monthly garden-oriented programs to which the public is invited.  The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club is a charter member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut and National Garden Club. Those seeking additional information may call Marty Sherman at 203-263-2260 or email info@pomperaugvalleygc.org.
