
The Region 14 referendum of $30.3 million, a 1.95% increase from the previous year, was defeated Wednesday night.
The budget was defeated by a vote of 1100 to 1075.
Woodbury defeated the budget by 95 votes while it was approved by 70 votes in Bethlehem.

In Woodbury, 765 residents voted yes while 860 voted no. In Bethlehem 310 residents voted yes and 240 voted no.
This was the second crack at approving the Region 14 budget. An original budget of $30,670,780, a 3.188% increase from the previous year, was defeated earlier this month.
24% of Woodbury registered voters made it to the polls, while 20% showed up from Bethlehem. 2,175 people in total voted, Woodbury has 6,726 registered voters while Bethlehem has 2,797 registered voters.
In the original referendum earlier this month 26% of Woodbury registered voters cast a ballot and an identical amount, 20%, made it out for Bethlehem.
