Region 14 Referendum Passes on Third Attempt
$30.2 million budget, a 1.8 percent increase, passes in Region 14.
A Region 14 budget of $30.2 million, a 1.8 percent increase from the previous year, was passed by a vote of 1,080 to 1,010 Wednesday night.
Voting closed at the Woodbury Senior Center at 8 p.m. and an official announcement was made at 8:08 p.m.
Woodbury voted 793 yes and 822 no, while Bethlehem voted 287 yes and 188 no.
The first defeated budget was set at $30,670, 780, a 3.188 percent increase from the previous year, and the second defeated budget, which failed by just 25 votes, came in at $30,304,017, a 1.95 percent increase.
