Registration Open For 8th Annual School Music Festival At Quassy

Registration for performing at the 8th Annual School Music Festival at is now open.
The Saturday, June 9, event will feature bands, orchestras and choruses at the Carousel Theatre stage in the heart of the park.

Elementary, middle and high school musical groups are invited to participate in the day-long event, which will kick off at 11 a.m.
Music directors may contact Quassy at 203-758-2913, ext. 109, for performance times as the schedule generally fills up quickly, staff said.

A public address system with a CD player and microphone is provided at the stage along with seating for up to 50 performers. Schools must supply all musical instruments, music stands and clothespins to secure the music, for performing.
The Carousel Theatre has seating in front of the stage for guests. There is no general admission charged to enter the amusement park. Parking $6 on weekends.

Celebrating its 104th season of operation in 2012, Quassy features more than two dozen rides and attractions, including the award-winning , which made its debut in 2011.
