The Scene on the River: PRWC Annual Benefit

Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition will celebrate 15 years of preserving and protecting the Pomperaug Watershed with a special event, The Scene on the River, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, in the gardens of Mill House Antiques, 1068 Main St North.

This annual event provides the coalition with funds to continue to preserving and protecting the Pomperaug River Watershed and Aquifer and providing information about this valuable asset.

As guests stroll about the lawns and gardens, they will enjoy Plein Air artists painting along the river; fly fishers casting for trout; musicians, singers and dancers performing; and a master chef showcasing her culinary talents.

They will also enjoy delicious foods and wines and an expansive silent auction.

An exciting live auction will punctuate the evening.

The event host is William Hildreth and Faith Middleton, WNPR show host and executive producer, is the honorary chair.

Tickets are $75 each and can be obtained by calling 203-263-0076 or visiting www.pomperaug.org.

The rain date is Sunday, June 8.
