Trial for Former Middlebury Fire Chief Begins Thursday

A trial for Former Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department Chief Paul Perrotti will commence on Thursday, July 9, according to FoxCT.

Former fire chief Paul Perrotti was indicted by the FBI with three counts of theft in November 2014.

Perrotti is accused of embezzling Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department funds to pay for unauthorized personal expenses, as well as unauthorized expenses associated with Paul Perrotti Electric, LLC, a firm Perrotti has operated since 2010.

Perrotti has said he is innocent.
