Saddle up and join the Second Company Governor's Horse Guard for a beautiful spring ride through scenic trails. This rain or shine equestrian event invites you to bring your horses and enjoy a morning of riding starting from their historic grounds.
Pre-registration is open now and ends on May 1. Suggested pre-event donation is $45.00, with same-day registration of $55.00. Register on Eventbrite at <a href="https://2GHGSpringTrailRide2026.eventbrite.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://2GHGSpringTrailRide2026.eventbrite.com</a>All riders must wear helmets and riders under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Proof of current Coggins certificate must be presented at the gate upon arrival. No jumps or water crossings. Riders must practice trail riding safety.

Youth from UCC Southbury are hosting a high-end raffle to support their annual mission trip!

Our mission organization, Halos and Hammers, has been doing work around the nation for decades and hopes to continue for many more! This year, the group heads to Koinonia Family Camp. A Non-Profit Organization in Highland Lake, NY, where they will build entire cabins for future campers to enjoy.

Spirituals, hymns, hollers and work songs were sung either to express a yearning for a better life or gratitude for already having one. Guitarist Walter Parks, longtime sideman to Woodstock legend Richie Havens, is fascinated by this historical music’s universal applicability and power. While he uses this repertoire to entertain, he also hopes to make a case for embracing the inescapable togetherness of races and cultures by performing this music in concert with his new group, The Unlawful Assembly.
