Watertown-Pomperaug Hockey Kicks Off State Tournament
The squad will play in the opening round tonight - Tuesday, March 6.
The Watertown-Pomperaug Ice Hockey squad is entering the CIAC Division II state tournament as the #12 seed in a 14-team field.
The Indians (10-10-0) will play their opening round game on the road against #5 Trumbull (11-9-0) tonight in Shelton at 7 p.m.

The winner of the first round battle will earn a spot in the quarterfinals and a date with the winner of #4 Wilton (10-10-0) and #13 New Milford (10-9-1) on Friday.
The top two seeds in the Division II field, #1 Guilford (11-7-2) and #2 Daniel Hand (12-6-2), received byes to the quarterfinals and will await the winner of opening round games.
