• Capital district, Dover council backing skits to educate about opioid use (baytobaynews.com) — Dover is directing its remaining $68,000 in opioid settlement funds to a youth-driven skit and video project on opioid use disorder, backed by Capital School District. Students from the district and Delaware State University will create TikTok videos that evolve into a full play at the Schwartz Center, aiming to reach young people with prevention and recovery messages.
   

• Celebrate Constitution Day on September 17 (wgmd.com) — Dover residents can mark Constitution Day on Thursday with a free bell-ringing ceremony at 4 p.m. at the Delaware Public Archives, featuring the USS Delaware bell. Visitors can also explore a special digital display all week highlighting Delaware's pivotal role in drafting, ratifying, and preserving the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

DNREC is accepting written comments or hearing requests through Oct. 1, giving locals a chance to weigh in on potential impacts and ask for more public review.
