Dover man preyed on drug users in $50K shoplifting scheme, police say (delawareonline.com) — A 67-year-old Dover resident is accused of running a months-long organized shoplifting operation that targeted major retailers around Dover and allegedly relied on people with addictions to steal goods for drugs or cash. State police say they recovered more than $50,000 in merchandise from a North Dupont Highway motel and charged the man with multiple felonies before releasing him on unsecured bond.
