• Delaware state police investigate wave of business burglaries in Lewes (nbcphiladelphia.com) — Several businesses along Coastal Highway in Lewes were recently targeted in a string of burglaries and attempted break-ins, and state police are asking for your help. Investigators say two suspects hit multiple restaurants and shops around Coastal Plaza on May 30, taking or trying to take cash. Anyone who saw suspicious activity in that area is urged to contact Delaware State Police. 
• Hot Delaware concert venue scores World Cup watch party. How to go (delawareonline.com) — Lewes soccer fans can catch a free outdoor USA vs. Australia World Cup watch party at the Lewes Ferry Grounds on June 19, complete with an 18-foot screen, food trucks, and family-friendly activities. The Rocking the Docks series is also launching its 2026 concert season and continuing its support of Lewes’ Fourth Street Preserve through benefit shows later this month.
• Thomas Jefferson University chosen for Delaware medical school (coasttv.com) — Lewes residents could eventually see a new four‑year medical school in Delaware, with Sussex County still in the running for the campus. State leaders chose Thomas Jefferson University as the partner, while a Lewes pharmacist warns low physician pay may still hinder efforts to attract and keep doctors here.
