Wilmington Man Faces Gun Charges After Newark Menacing Investigation (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Newark police say a July confrontation on Creek Road near North College Avenue, where a gun was allegedly pointed at two people, led to a Sept. 1 arrest and the seizure of multiple firearms and large-capacity magazines. A 23-year-old Wilmington man now faces two sets of serious weapons and menacing charges, with combined bail set at more than $160,000.

Impaired commercial driver hit 12 vehicles in Ogletown, police say (delawareonline.com) — A 53-year-old Newark man is accused of driving an impaired flatbed tractor-trailer through Ogletown's Harmony Woods community, damaging 12 parked vehicles, four mailboxes and a street sign early Sept. 5. New Castle County police say they found crack cocaine, fentanyl and other drugs in the truck, and the driver now faces multiple misdemeanor traffic and drug charges with secured bail over $3,000.

Investigators allege the pair repeatedly texted and harassed the victim, leading to emotional distress and fear, and both now face pending preliminary hearings while remaining presumed innocent.
