Multi-tasking works at work, but not on the road

This is about distracted driving, kids, virtual reality and the 'It Can Wait Campaign'

Recent studies find it takes up to 27 seconds for a driver to regain full attention after using a smartphone or other device. When seconds matter, it’s a scary statistic.

That’s why AT&T is continuing its successful national ‘It Can Wait’ program. Today students and adults were shown the effects of distracted driving through cutting edge virtual reality technology at Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware.

The VR simulator gives a safe perspective of what happens when someone behind the wheel decides to text friends or post to social media.
