Supporters say it will create thousands of jobs and keep Delaware competitive, while opponents raise environmental and economic concerns and continue to challenge the project in court.

Wilmington Rugby Club Begins Fall Season at Home on September 19 (delawarelive.com) — Wilmington rugby fans can catch the men's team opening their fall season September 19 at Alapocus Run State Park, with practice sessions held at the Siegel JCC in town. The club is actively recruiting new players of all ages and experience levels, offering men's, women's, youth, and high school teams, plus a non-contact Rookie Rugby program for kids 7–14.

3. AIDS Walk Delaware Marks 40 Years Of Advocacy And Community Action – Town Square Delaware LIVE (townsquaredelaware.com) — Wilmington will host one of two AIDS Walk Delaware locations on Saturday, Sept. 19, with walkers gathering at Brandywine Park near the zoo for check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. The 40th anniversary event raises funds for HIV services statewide, honors those lost, and offers residents a way to support prevention, care, and stigma reduction close to home.

DBT40 Honoree: Kelvin Lesene (delawarebusinesstimes.com) — Wilmington residents may recognize aviation leader Kelvin Lesene from his work managing operations at Wilmington Airport and now directing Delaware State University's aviation program. He also founded Warmth in Wilmington, a nonprofit providing food, clothing, and essentials to people facing housing challenges in the city, extending his impact beyond the runway into community support.
