Seeing Double: Twins Will Marry Twins, Live Their Lives Together
Identical twin sisters will marry identical twin brothers and set up housekeeping together after a surprise proposal.

WILMINGTON, DE — The bond between twins is undeniably strong and unlike any other sibling connection. It begins in the womb and often lasts a lifetime, but this love story may have people seeing double: Two identical twin sisters recently became engaged to twin brothers and they plan to live together in the same house after their marriages in a double ceremony in August.
The brides-to-be, Briana and Brittany Deane, were presented matching infinity diamond rings during a surprise proposal at — wait for it — Twin Lakes State Park in Virginia, where they had their first dates with Jeremy and Josh Sayles, who are identical twins. The four met at a twins festival six months ago in — wait for it again — Twinsburg, Ohio, where they plan to set up housekeeping together.
The sisters, who practice law together in Virginia, thought they were shooting a commercial about twin couples with their boyfriends when they showed up at the state park on Feb. 2 in matching outfits. The brothers also were dressed identically, their ties matching the women’s bright blue dresses.

But the brothers dropped to their knees and proposed when the director — actually a member of an Inside Edition camera crew — shouted “action!” Of course, they said “yes” in unison. Inside Edition broadcast the story on Valentine’s Day.
"It was almost like an out-of-body experience,” Briana told The News Journal in Wilmington, Delaware, where they twins grew up. “We were both just blown away. It was like watching your dream play out.”

Josh said he and his brother “kind of always knew that we were never getting married unless it was to twins.”
They live in Hagerstown, Maryland, where both work in the same manufacturing plant. The sisters didn’t give the name of the town they live in because they’ve been hounded by a stalker in the past.
Neither set of twins has spent much time apart.
“Being separated was like learning how to walk again," Briana told The News Journal. "I had never done something like that. It was the first time I had experienced loneliness."
When she spotted their now future husbands, Brittany squeezed her sister’s hand and said: “Oh my gosh, I just saw the most handsome twin men.”
The four met just as the men were about to depart for their home at the time in Tennessee.
“We struck up a conversation about their twin relationship and life, and we found out they were very similar to us,” Josh said. “I was instantly drawn to Brittany. We actually stayed a little longer to try and talk with them some more.”
They connected more on social media, then the Sayler brothers drove to Virginia for their first date.
““After the first date, we were driving home and we knew that these were the girls we were going to marry,” Josh said.
Various dynamics merge when they’re together.
“There is my twin relationship, my romantic relationship, and a brother-like relationship, where it feels like I am sharing my twin with him,” Briana said.
