50th Anniversary Commemoration in Georgetown and More for your Wednesday

Georgetown's Commemoration of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" Speech: From the steps of Healy Hall on the Georgetown campus, students will read selections from of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. The event from 3 to 4 p.m. is open to the public. 

Three presidents will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech at the base of the Lincoln Memorial. The event opens at 9 a.m. with an 11 a.m. program start time. 

Winesday at Whole Foods: Stop by the Georgetown store, 2323 Wisconsin Ave., NW, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. or the Foggy Bottom store, 2201 I St., NW, from 5 to 7 p.m. For $5 you get five wine and food pairings. Bring back your Whole Foods wine glass to Foggy Bottom and pay just $3. 

Georgetown Farmer's Market Wednesday. Stop by the Georgetown Farmer's Market, held each Wednesday in Rose Park. There you can pick up produce for dinner, enjoy a warm Belgian waffle, grab a loaf of bread and see a whole bunch of familiar faces. The market runs from 3 to 7 p.m. in Rose Park at 26th and O Streets, NW.

Dinner with Live Jazz at Bistrot Lepic: Whether you sit at the bar or get a dinner reservation, enjoy a Jazz performance by The Satin Doll trio at Bistrot Lepic in north Georgetown (Burleith), 1736 Wisconsin Ave., NW. Music begins at 7 p.m.
