Another Georgetown Sexual Assault Reported, This Time on the Waterfront: Report

There is not yet any indication the incident is tied to a series of sexual assaults in Georgetown earlier this year.

WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Park Police are reportedly investigating a sexual assault at the Georgetown Waterfront, the latest in what may be a series of attacks by a sexual predator in the area.

WJLA reports that police believe a man grabbed a victim at around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, as she was walking in the 3200 block of Georgetown Waterfront Park. He was described as a white Hispanic man who spoke English and Spanish and was in his early twenties, with a height of 5'5" to 5'8".

The Metropolitan Police Department has been investigating a series of sexual assaults in Georgetown in recent months, with the latest incident happening on Oct. 26 in the 1600 block of 33rd Street NW. In that case, a man also came up to a woman and groped her.
