Cannon's Fish Market Closed for Several Months
Cannon's Fish Market has been in Georgetown since 1968.

Cannon's Fish Market, 1065 31st St., NW, has closed its doors for at least the next few months, according to a sign posted on the door dated Aug. 11.
"Cannon's regrets to inform its customers that it is closing for the next few months as of August 11, 2013 for medical reasons," the sign reads.
Cannon's is currently run by owner Robert "Bobby" Moore, whose grandfather opened the first iteration of Cannon's Seafood Market in 1937 on the Southwest Waterfront. Cannon's opened in Georgetown in 1968.
The note says they will provide updates on their website, but as of Friday there was no mention of the closure.
