Updated 1:19 p.m. Wednesday

The 3000 block of M Street, NW was closed Wednesday morning around 10 a.m. as DC Fire and EMS units responded to a fire at 3003 M St. NW.

According to FEMS Public Information Officer Tim Wilson, there was a small construction fire that was contained to just one building on just one floor. Though there was much smoke, the fire was small and was contained by 10:30 when units started leaving the scene.

The call came in at 10 a.m. and the first units arrived 3 minutes later, according to Wilson.

He said there was "no indication of how much damage done."

Though Patch originally reported that the site of the fire at 3003 M Street, NW was the former home of Garrett's and the future home of i-Thai Sushi, the owner of i-Thai tells Patch that their space is fine and that the fire was actually located at IceBerry yogurt shop next door.  A call placed to the Ice Berry store was not answered.
