Metro Schedule Changes For Veterans Day Weekend
If you're taking the Metro this Veterans Day weekend, you should get to the station early and plan accordingly.

GEORGETOWN, DC — There's plenty to do this Veterans Day weekend. Whether you're attending a wreath-laying ceremony, participating in this year's marathon, or shopping at the outlets, you should check out what's open and closed in the area.
And, if you're thinking of taking the Metro this weekend, you might want to get to the station early. Service adjustments may cause some delays. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the long weekend:
Saturday through Monday, Red Line trains will operate every 9 minutes between Medical Center and Silver Spring from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Meanwhile, trains will run every 18 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. Due to scheduled maintenance, all Red Line trains will be single-tracking between Grosvenor and Twinbrook.

Orange Line trains will be single-tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory and operating every 24 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.
Silver Line trains run every 24 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Largo Town Center. On Saturday and Sunday, trains be single-tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory.

On Saturday, Blue Line trains will run every 12 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Braddock Road; and they will operate every 24 minutes between Pentagon City and Eastern Market.
On Sunday, Blue Line trains will run every 15 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Braddock Road; and they will operate every 24 minutes between Pentagon City and Eastern Market.
On Monday, Blue Line trains are scheduled every 12 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Braddock Road and between Pentagon City and Largo Town Center.
Both the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Crystal City stations will be closed. Therefore, two additional Express shuttle buses will run between Braddock Road and Pentagon City and between Franconia-Springfield and Pentagon. The Express shuttle buses will run on Friday and Monday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Because of track work, Blue Line trains will be single-tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory. In addition, there will be no service between Braddock Road and Pentagon City.
Saturday, on the Blue Line, the last Pentagon-City train will leave Largo Town Center (and subsequent stations) 5 minutes earlier than usual.
Through Monday, shuttle buses will replace Yellow Line trains between Pentagon City and Braddock Road.
On Saturday, Yellow Line trains will run every 12 minutes between Huntington and Braddock Road; and they will operate every 24 minutes between Pentagon City and Mt Vernon Sq.
On Sunday, Yellow Line trains will run every 15 minutes between Huntington and Braddock Road; and they will operate every 24 minutes between Pentagon City and Mt Vernon Sq.
Yellow Line trains will run every 12 minutes between Huntington and Braddock Road and between Pentagon City and Mt Vernon Sq on Monday.
Green Line trains will operate on a normal weekend schedule.
On Monday, Nov. 12, Metro will open at 5:00 a.m. and close at 11:30 p.m.
