Rash of Scooter Thefts Reported in Northwest

Police alert the community to several recent incidents.

At least four motor scooters were reported stolen over the weekend including one that went missing in Georgetown, according to police. 

The Georgetown scooter was stolen from the 3000 block of R Street, NW Friday some time between 12:30 and 3 p.m., according to the police report.

Theft 1: Stolen Scooter in the 3000 block of R St NW (PSA-206)
Date: Aug. 16
Time: 12:30 to 3 p.m. 
Model: 2013 Genuine Scooter, Red.

Theft 1: Stolen Scooter in the 1300 block of Connecticut Ave. NW (PSA-208)
Date: Between Aug. 16 and Aug. 17.
Time: Between 10:30 p.m.  Aug. 16 and 12:45 a.m. Aug. 17.
Model: 2011 Cyclescoot Scooter, White/Red.

Theft 1: Stolen Motorcycle in the 3000 block of Sedgwick St. NW (PSA-203)
Date: Between Aug. 14 and Aug. 17
Time: Between 6 p.m.  Aug. 14 and 10 a.m. Aug. 17.
Type: 2012 Honda Motorcycle, Red/ Silver.

Theft 1: Stolen Scoot in the 2800 block of Belevue Terr. NW (PSA-204)
Date: Aug. 17 or Aug. 18
Time: Between 2 p.m. Aug. 17 and 2:30 a.m. Aug. 18.
Model: 2008 Genuine Scooter, Red/Cream.
