Things that GO!: Georgetown University's Davis Center for the Performing Arts is hosting participatory developmental workshop centered on an immersive gaming experience, inspired by Richard Scarry’s children’s books. There are several workshops during the weekend, all of which are open to the public and cost $5. Workshops will be Thursday at 7:30 and 9 p.m., Friday at 7, 8, and 9 p.m.,
Saturday and Sunday at 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. Learn more here.

Rock-N-Roar at the National Zoo: Have a one-of-a-kind experience Friday when you take in an acoustic performance by Marc Roberge and Richard On of O.A.R. at the Smithsonian National Zoo. Beer from New Belgium Brewing will be available for purchase as will food, non-alcoholic beverages, and wine. Tickets are available online.

Truckeroo: Friday is your second to last chance this season to have your pick of 20 food trucks all whilst enjoying a cold drink and live music!  The monthly event is Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Fairgrounds at Half Street and M Street SE, across from the Navy Yard Metro station. Free to enter.

Back to School Bites: Stop by the Georgetown Whole Foods, 2323 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Saturday or Sunday to get some tips on healthy eating to fuel your kiddo for breakfast or to pack a nutritious lunch. Healthy Eating Specialist, Cherie, will be in store Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. to talk breakfast and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. to talk lunch. Stop by for a chat and some inspiration 

Revel in the arts at the 11th annual King Street Art Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event turns King Street from Washington Street to the waterfront into an outdoor art gallery with original art work from more than 200 artists.
