District Doughnut had its grand opening on Cady's Alley in Georgetown on Tuesday, and in case you're wondering what the fuss is about, check out the video above of how they make a creme brûlée doughnut.

That's just one of the many unique flavors that separates District Doughnut -- which has made a name for itself as one of the best donut shops in the nation at its home in Barracks Row -- from your standard donut shop.

The pop-up shop will be open on Cady's Alley until December, allowing you to sample from a range of fascinating offerings. Some of the flavors at the flagship shop include "Salted Dulce de Leche," "Baklava," and the marshmallow cream-stuffed "Fluffernutter." The "Maple Butter Pecan" is a doughnut made of vanilla cake and bathed in maple butter glaze before being sprinkled with candied cinnamon pecans. If you need more vanilla than that, the simple "Vanilla Bean Glaze" is for you.

The pop-up shop will have similar doughnuts to what you can find at its flagship shop near Capitol Hill, and will also offer espresso coffee through partner Compass Coffee. The shop offers original recipes and luxury doughnuts that are made from scratch.

Earlier this year, Thrillist named District Doughnut one of the 33 best donut shops in America for 2016.
