Weekend Metro Work May Cause Delays: Dec. 29 - 30
If you're taking the Metro this weekend, you should get to the station early and plan accordingly.

WASHINGTON, DC — There's plenty to see in the D.C. metro area this weekend — including the Miracle on 7th Street Pop-Up Bar, David Guetta concert, ZooLights, Wine Bootcamp, and DJ Dance Party and Silent Disco.
If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Dec. 29 or Sunday, Dec. 30, you might want to get to the station early. Service changes may cause some delays.

Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:
Orange Line trains will run every 20 minutes. Trains will single-track between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW.

Silver Line trains will operate every 20 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston. Due to rail work, trains will only run to and from the Ballston Metro station. Riders should use the Orange and/or Blue line trains to get to their destination.
Blue Line trains will run every 20 minutes. Trains will single-track between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW.
Red and Green line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
Yellow Line trains will run on a regular schedule between Huntington and Fort Totten.
