2 New Coronavirus Deaths In DC; 1,955 Total Positive Cases
D.C. Health confirmed two more deaths due to the coronavirus, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 52 in the District.
WASHINGTON, DC — The D.C. Department of Health confirmed two more deaths Monday morning due to the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. This brings the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the District to 52. The new deaths were identified as a 53-year-old male and a 68-year-old male.
At a Monday morning press briefing, Mayor Muriel Bowser confirmed she had just learned that the first inmate at the D.C. Jail had also died of the coronavirus.
D.C. Health confirmed 80 new positive cases of the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the District to 1,955.
