6-Year-Old, 11-Year-Old Injured In DC Shooting: Report (ICYMI)

Gunfire reportedly erupted near a community center in Southeast Monday night.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Two young children were hit by gunfire in D.C. Monday night, and police are looking for suspects, according to a report.

Fox 5 reports that a 6-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl were struck, as was an adult woman. Their conditions are currently unknown.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of 56th Street SE at around 8:44 p.m. near the East Capitol Community Center.

There was another shooting an hour later in the 4900 block of East Capitol Street, injuring a man.

Police are looking for a dark-colored older model Lexus or Acura with a wing on the bike and the license plate located in the front window, Fox 5 reports.
