• Seattle Reign surrender late goal in loss to Washington Spirit (yakimaherald.com) — A late Washington Spirit goal at Audi Field in D.C. handed the Seattle Reign a 2-1 loss, continuing Washington’s dominance in the matchup. The Spirit scored first from a free kick, then conceded an own goal equalizer before Trinity Rodman set up the 81st‑minute winner, extending Washington’s scoring streak to nine straight matches.    

• Trump set to headline ‘Great American State Fair' after artists drop out over ties (ksgf.com) — A large semipolitical fair marking America’s 250th anniversary is scheduled for June 25–July 10 on Washington’s National Mall, and organizers now say Donald Trump will headline the opening. Several artists recently dropped out over concerns about the event’s ties to Trump, but others, including Flo Rida and Vanilla Ice, are still expected to perform.
