Arrest Made In Shooting Death Of DC Man

WASHINGTON, DC - A Maryland man is behind bars and charged with a fatal shooting that occurred nearly a year ago. Paul William Daniel, 39, of Greenbelt is charged with second-degree murder.

Around 3:36 p.m. on Jan. 26, 2019, police responded to the 4100 block of Hayes Street NE for the sounds of gunshots. After arriving to the scene, officers said they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The victim was later identified as 59-year-old Kevin Jerome Harrison of northeast DC.
