Bank of America Opens New Financial Center in Ivy City
New location expands financial access for residents of North East DC.
WASHINGTON—Residents of Washington, DC’s fast-growing Ivy City neighborhood have a new local financial option with the opening of Bank of America’s latest financial center at 2007 Walt Lincoln Way, NE. Showcasing the latest technology to deliver for clients in Northeast DC, the Ivy City Financial Center pairs high-tech and high-touch approaches to banking that allow clients to access the bank’s local and nationwide networks of financial professionals to meet their banking, borrowing, and investment needs.
Opening this center further represents Bank of America’s mission to bring retail, banking, lending, and small business services to local clients, along with investing and personalized financial guidance from Merrill. Bank of America currently serves the capital area through 17 locations in Washington, DC and 139 in the Greater Washington, DC region and its 2,400 local employees.
Washington, DC clients also have access to Bank of America’s industry-leading digital services, including virtual financial assistant Erica, financial planning tool Life Plan®, and the Zelle money transfer network. Nearly 1.3 million clients in Greater Washington, DC use Bank of America’s services to better access their finances.

Investing in Teammates
Bank of America announced this year that it raised its minimum wage to $22 an hour as a next step in the company’s plans to increase to $25 by 2025. The company also subsidizes approximately 75% of employee health care costs, which means capital area employees will be eligible for the company’s benefits that have an average value of almost $17,000. The firm also offers matching 401(k) contributions of up to 5%, and an annual company contribution of up to 2% of pay after one year with the company.
