Bank Robbery Charge Filed Against Northeast Woman: Police

Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a woman in connection with the robbery of a PNC Bank near Catholic University.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a suspect Monday, in connection with a bank robbery earlier in the day near Catholic University, according to a police release.

On Monday, Feb. 24, around 2:40 p.m., a suspect entered the PNC Bank in the 3800 block of 12th Street, Northeast, and presented a note to a teller demanding money. After the teller complied, the suspect fled the scene. Police apprehended the suspect a short time later.

Police arrested Carina Powell, 24, of Northeast, and charged her with robbery.
