Capital Oyster Society: Inaugural Oyster Social & Tasting 🦪

Calling all oyster lovers! 🦪

Join Capital Oyster Society for our inaugural Oyster Social & Tasting at Kelly’s Oyster House & Bar in Fairfax — an evening of oysters, drinks, conversation, and meeting fellow oyster lovers from across the DMV.

The social is FREE to attend, and Kelly’s is extending its happy hour until 8:30 PM exclusively for our group. Come mingle, play a little Oyster Bingo, order your favorite oysters, food and drinks, and meet the growing Capital Oyster Society community.

Want to take your oyster experience a little deeper? Add the optional $26 guided 8-oyster tasting, created especially for Capital Oyster Society. Kelly’s will take us on a tasting journey from the Chesapeake up the Atlantic Coast to Canada, featuring oysters from the Chesapeake, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and Canada, plus an Oyster Gratinée with candied bacon, spinach and hollandaise.

Kelly’s owner will guide the tasting and share more about oysters, oyster bars, and what to look for as you taste.

We’ll start at 6:00 PM with arrivals and mingling, followed by our welcome and guided tasting around 6:45 PM. Afterward, stick around for more oysters, drinks and conversation.

Whether you’ve eaten hundreds of oysters or you’re still figuring out the difference between briny and buttery, you belong at the table. 🦪
