Inspired by founder Duncan Phillips’s belief in the “joy-giving and life-enhancing” power of art, Creative Aging reflects The Phillips Collection’s commitment to art, wellness, and lifelong learning. Creative Aging is designed for older adults living with memory loss. Every Creative Aging session begins in the galleries, where participants share observations, explore emotions, and connect with works of art. These conversations continue through hands-on artmaking, resulting in the artworks featured in this exhibition. This exhibition celebrates curiosity, creativity, resilience, and joy. Together, these artworks remind us that art is essential.
HOW:
Use the Bank’s location finder tool to search for participating cultural attractions. Please check with our partners directly for current operating hours and admission guidelines. Present your Bank of America, Merrill or Bank of America Private Bank credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission to any participating institution during the first full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month. Cardholders only; guests are not eligible for free admission. Program excludes fundraising events, special exhibitions, and ticketed shows. Not to be combined with other offers.
