Others rush to give advice - which only makes things worse. We want to believe in peace. But we just can't find the way. Meditation feels impossible.

This series is about finding peace at the times we need it most. Humility, acceptance, and kindness will pervade each class. We will learn meditations, and mindfulness practices that can help us make meaning from our experience and to grieve. Join with others as we find strength together, and compassionate wisdom from the Buddhist path to Enlightenment.Geshe Langri Tangpa said of the people who hurt us: "may I see them as my holy spiritual guide." Let's explore what those words might actually mean for us.

Bully 16 contestants call the winners of 16 races - 9 for US&nbsp;Senate and 7 for governor. Then, they guess how many of the 435 House seats each party will hold.&nbsp;The entry with the most correct calls wins, and the closest House guess breaks any tie. The grand prize is Saturday brunch for four at Teddy &amp;&nbsp;The Bully Bar!&nbsp;Pick up an entry sheet at our watch party and drop it in our ballot box (its not rigged!) The winner is announced within 48 hours of the polls closing, so you don't have to stay up for every last race to find out if you win. Rules: One entry per person. Open to guests 21 and older. No purchase necessary. Entering adds you to Teddy's email list, and you can unsubscribe at any time. The prize expires on year after it is awarded.

🚨&nbsp;Please help save dogs and cats today by applying to adopt or foster! An ongoing overcrowding crisis at PG&nbsp;County Animal Shelter resulted in a devastating loss of 16 dogs euthanized for space one day in mid-October! More adoptable dogs were euthanized since then!&nbsp;There&nbsp;was no urgent list notice for transparency to rescue partners and community members!&nbsp;There is no list this week either.
📢&nbsp;&nbsp;Community members -&nbsp;Adopters and fosters are needed today for dogs and cats!&nbsp;Please go meet and adopt them or apply to foster them.&nbsp;Dogs are at risk of being euthanized a any time only due to space. They are over capacity with dogs and need space for more dogs coming in.&nbsp;There is a no urgent list this week to provide a chance and have time to help save them. 
🐶&nbsp;Adopters:&nbsp;Please go to the shelter Tuesday through&nbsp;Friday&nbsp;(11am to 7pm, arrive by 6pm) and Saturday&nbsp;(10am to 4pm, arrive by 3pm). Adopters are able to meet 2 dogs and bring dogs for meet and greets.

Note: Adopters of pit bulls: Review the requirements and complete the Pet Parenting Certification (that takes about an hour) before going to adopt Pit Bull Terriers and specific bully-type breeds. 🐶 Prospective fosters: Fosters through the shelter and rescues are needed for dogs and cats. Please apply with rescue partners, or contact the shelter&nbsp;to be a foster and save a life. The Friends of PG County Animal Shelter posts about dogs which need fosters through the shelter or otherwise through rescues. Fostering is usually free with a rescue.
Please review the shelter foster information, apply online and complete Pet Parenting Certification. Contact the shelter with the dog's name and ID.
