Film Featuring Captain America Star Chris Evans Set To Shoot This Week Around DC

Commuters and travelers trying to get around parts of D.C. this week may encounter closed roads due to the filming of a Chris Evans movie.

WASHINGTON, DC — In the Captain America comics and movies, everybody knows that the title character is Steve Rogers. But, a movie featuring "Captain America" star Chris Evans that started filming Sunday around D.C. is hiding behind a secret identity.

In January, KFTV reported that Apple Original would begin filming "Ghosted," a romantic action adventure movie featuring Evans and Jules Daly, in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. But when production crews turned up in Georgia in March, the film was going by the name "Carousel."

Over the weekend, the Metropolitan Police Department issued a traffic advisory, announcing a number of street closures this week to facilitate the filming of "Carousel," the same film that the Atlanta Journal Constitution identified as "Ghosted."

The film also stars "No Time to Die" actress Ana de Armas after she took over the lead role from Scarlett Johansson. Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody is also set to star in the movie as well, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Commuters and travelers will need to find alternate routes this week in several District neighborhoods due to the film production.
