Concert to Honor Asian-Pacific Heritage Month

Opera NOVA and Asian American Music Society plan concert April 22 in Arlington

Opera NOVA and the Asian American Music Society will honor Asian Pacific Heritage Month with a concert on Sunday, April 22 at 4 p.m .

Performers from the Asian group will appear at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 825 South Taylor Street in Arlington. AAMS, based in Washington, represents musicians from China, Japan and Korea.

For the concert, the women will be wearing Kimono, Chinese and Korean Dress. Among songs will be three popular Asian pieces, Sakura, Arirang and Jasmine Flower, concluding with America the Beautiful.
