DC Attorney General Broadcasts with Students at Horton’s Kids Hub

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, DC Attorney General, Brian Schwalb visited the Horton’s Kids Hub, the organization’s Southeast DC headquarters, to participate in HK Couch Community Conversations - their flagship podcast, with participating students.

Horton’s Kids is a nonprofit that partners with children and their families to ensure participants graduate from high school ready for college, career or life.

The Hub, which opened in 2023, is a 10,000-square-foot facility intended as a safe space for students to study and hang out after school. The Hub has wellness rooms, tutoring areas, even its own podcast studio where this event took place.

Horton’s Kids currently empowers more than 600 youth to improve their academic outcomes, develop important character traits, and access healthy meals. The graduation rate for Horton’s Kids participants is twice the neighborhood average.
