DC Fire Truck,Tour Bus Collide; Multiple Firefighters Injured

The crash happened around noon at the intersection of Alabama and Pennsylvania avenues, according to a DC Fire and EMS spokesperson.

WASHINGTON, DC — A tour bus collided with a DC Fire and EMS truck Wednesday, sending several firefighters to the hospital with injuries.

The crash happened around noon at the intersection of Alabama and Pennsylvania avenues, according to a DC Fire and EMS spokesperson. The truck had its lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash.

No one was on the tour bus except the driver, the spokesperson said. Five firefighters were sent to nearby hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police and the Risk Management Division of DC Fire and EMS.
