WILLIAMSBURG, VA — A Washington, DC man returned home from his Busch Gardens vacation a million dollars richer after he purchased the winning Powerball ticket.

Jonathan Jones was vacationing in Williamsburg with his family when he stopped at a convenience store to play Powerball. His ticket matched the first five numbers to win the game's million-dollar second prize, the Virginia Lottery announced.

Jones, who works for a roofing company, purchased his winning ticket at Terrace Grocery, at 1102 Penniman Rd. in Williamsburg, for the July 22 drawing. He used Easy Pick, allowing the computer to randomly select the numbers on his ticket.
